Lympsham is a country school with, at present, 80 pupils aged from 4 to 9 years. The school was established on the present site in 1878. The village that our school is set in is predominantly agricultural with some small businesses. We are a community school with close links with St. Christopher’s Church, the Parochial Church Council, and the village which are represented on our Governing Body. Within the village we have use of some of the facilities. Being able to use the tennis courts and the village green for sports events and enjoyment has strengthened our physical education curriculum. Our school at present is organised into 3 classes:- Foundation—Year 1 (Lions) Year 1—Year 2 (Lynx) Year 3—Year 4 (Leopards) We are part of a group of schools known as The Cheddar Valley Learning Partnership. The group is made up of nine first schools, two middle schools and the upper school, The Kings Of Wessex School in Cheddar. |
